Haunted Trail a Success in Success
Every year, the Success FireFighters put on their Haunted Trail, a winding trail through the woods that takes well over a month to put together with numerous volunteers in preparation for those couple of weeks before Halloween where they get to scare the daylight out of anyone brave enough to walk through.
The Haunted Trail is one of those places you can go back to over and over because things change up from one night to the next and you never know where the boogie-man is going to be that will get your adrenaline running next.
It all starts at the Success Fire Department (on School Rd., Saucier) where you take a hay ride, pulled by an old tractor down tot he starting point where most visitors are welcomed by real gun shots. yes, I said real gun shots - remember we are in the woods in Saucier Mississippi. From there, you are greeted with the story line (plot) and lead through the trail by a guide who can tell you the story but may not even know where the next “BOO” is coming from.
While I can’t give you all the spooky details, I can say that it is a great place to spend about an hour and have a good time.
The Haunted Trail is open Friday and Saturday nights through Halloween and is easy to find on School Rd., Saucier, MS (C’mon - you know how to MapQuest, right?).
